From a growler. big fan of this beer. Nice sweet malt flavor, lots of caramel and a good hop bitterness. Aroma was malty but a bit too much alcohol in the nose. Would be a perfect session beer if it was a slight bit lower in alcohol. That was the only "downside" of this beer.

On tap at Flat Street in Brattleboro. Aroma of mild diacetyl, sour apple, some caramel or butterscotch. Not too much sweetness or obvious hops character. Medium brown amber clear with thin off-white lacing head. Medium watery body with decent medium carbonation. Tastes of a little caramel and some apple skin, with an OK malt presence. Very little bitter hoppyness in the finish, though there is a bit of dry nutty bitterness in the finish and after. Still a bit of diacetyl flavor throughout. Mild alcohol but not overpowering or detracting.

Good go-to beer. I live in CT and the CT Bev Mart has this in growlers for 6.99. Excellent deal for a good Pale Ale. Good hopppiness and nice creamy palate that finishes crisply. A little bit fruity aroma, which is quite nice.

Amber pour with fluffy white head. Aroma is pleasently hoppy. Flavor is lightly sweet with some nice hoppiness. Standard APA.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with jjpm74 (thanks!). Poured a deep orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of oranges, grapefruits, light pine, light caramel and lightly floral. Tastes of caramel with some citrus. The aromas where stronger citrus with light caramel where the tastes where the complete opposite. After drinking for a little bit, I was also getting some toasted malts. Body a tad on the thin side. This one was a nice surprise!

ah berkshire ale. a longtime favorite before i discovered the glory of the hop, the belgians, and the germans and my tastebuds exploded. anyway, back to this beer. amber brown in color. aroma is sweet, hints of hops. flavor more hops, bits of fruit, caramel, etc. For $3.35, there isnt a better 22 on the market in Amherst.

Cask. Pours a reddish brown. Unusual color for an APA. Nose is prunes and light hops. Sweet and smooth ale. Fruit and malt. Very balanced, creamy mouthfeel. I’d like to have this again in a bottle.

Barrel Draught at the GBBF, Kensington Olympia 05/08/2005 Amber mid brown coloured with a slightly hazy appearance. Very hoppy. Some dryness in a warming wheaty malt finish.
