Citrus smell. Small head that disappeared quickly. Deep caramelish color. Sweet to first taste ends on a bitter note. Can taste the caramel malt. Hops touch the back of the finish. Nice signature.

22oz bottle. Orangey, spiced, and some mild piney hop aromas come through immediately. A bit sweet and not much roastiness in the nose. Mild-moderately hazy copper/amber in color with a nice, frothy off-yellowish head. A bit roasted to start, turning nice and caramel-like in the middle. Nice job on the malts with this beer. Finishes crisp, mildly hoppy, and spicy. A bit of piney hoppiness in the end as well. This is a very well-made APA that is relatively unknown.

My friend in Massachusetts bought a growler. We made a dent in it in a hurry. Nice copper color with a rich long lasting head. Really rich malts and hops. They call this a pale ale but this is really full bodied and rich and easy to drink. .

VERY impressed with this beer. Head and shoulders above the Steel Rail. If you’re looking for a full-bodied APA from the east coast, drink this baby. It’s nice and it’s strong and it’s right.

Pours a dark copper/amber body with a huge head. Aroma is hoppy with caramel. Hints of fruit in there. Finishes sweet with lotsa caramel flavoring, but not a lot of complexity. Enjoyable, and one small step above the most simple and enjoyable beers.

2004 bomber. Pours a nice caramel copper color with a foamy head. Smells of malts and slight hops. Taste is decent-an above average pale ale, not spectacular, but not a bad beer.

Bottle: light copper color with a light tan foamy head with good lacing. Soft hop aroma with a hint of malt. Smooth medium bodied with a slightly bitter finish.

On tap at Horseshoe Pub: Poured copper with a medium, somewhat fizzy beige head. Moderate earty aroma and hoppy. Flavor is earthy and hoppy. Medium body. Moderately sweet and a somewhat bitter finish. Good.
