Orange/copper colour. The aroma is typical US pungent resinous sweet hops. Flavour is sweet caramel malt and hops, with a hint of citrus but, in general, the flavours were rather restrained (not necessarily a bad thing). Quite acidic, but not bitter, finish. A bit short of grip and not perfectly balanced. Not bad, but not great. Cask (gravity) at GBBF 2004.

Cask@GBBF04’. Caramelly stickyness to start, with some tea like hops in the finish, some citrusy, grassy notes in the finish, not bad, but unexciting

[Cask conditioned] Amber coloured. Fruity aroma. The flavour is rather sweet, fruity and malty with grassy notes. Slightly thin.

Gravity cask. GBBF. Mmmm. Fruity and sweet. The first mouthful is an instant pleasure. Hops are soft and flavoursome rather than over the top - though they are perhaps not as fresh as they could be. Ah - the more I drink of this the less attractive it becomes. That first sweet fruity taste was flattering and deceptive. Balance is wrong. Taste is wrong. Huh. This beer is now starting to get really nasty. No. I don’t like it after all.

Orange amber coloring, cloudy. Aroma was slightly yeasty with a bi of grapefruit. Slighty hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Rather smooth going down but with very minimal taste. Citrus like taste which seemed to be a cross of a fight between a grapefruit and a peach with the peach losing. Mdoerately okay, nothing too special

Murky amber topped by a medium beige froth. Aroma is mild, caramel, earthy. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, caramel, light lemon/tang, mild pine finish. Light-medium watery body. Pleasant beer.

Orange, cloudy, tanish head. Nice pleasant hoppy aroma. Full biodied, with a nice hop/malt balance. This was rather nice.

Best beer I had last night. Nice copper color. Well balanced with malt and hops. Very good pale ale. On tap. Caramel notes. Enjoyable.
