Bottle 1pt. 6fl.oz.
[ Trade by toncatcher ]. Clear dark dark red brown color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, darkroasted, caramel, chocolate, berry, tart - brett, wood, bourbon, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and heavy bitter with a long duration, and a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. This works very nice with a imp.stout and some brett IMO ;O)) [20091021]

22oz bottle from ygtbsm... Pours a dark cola brown, close to black, with a thin light tan head... Aroma of lactose sourness with chocolate and light roast. Seems almost a litle bit chalky... Flavors of thin chocolate stout with light cherry notes, tad sourish but not excessively. Above average carbonation for the style. Ok.

22z. Pours black tan head. Nose sour, doughy, cherry, vanilla. Flavors sourish cherry, chocolate, bready, a soft bourbon character finish. Spritzy carbonation. I can’t believe this what the brewers intended.

10/18/2009: Berkshire Bourbon Barrel Imperial Stout... Aroma: Apples. Appearance: Deep brown in color with a small beige-colored crown. Flavor: Sweet with some acetone; a bit sour; hint of sweetened coffee; the alcohol is very noticeable and therefore doesn’t blend well with the other characteristics. Palate: Medium-bodied; mostly smooth texture. Overall: This beer seemed to bite the dust in the barrel as it was definitely not enhanced (bad barrel?); the regular Berkshire Imperial Stout is better, but not by much!

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Thanks again Brad! Rating #63 for this beer.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured dark brown color with a large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate bourbon, roasted chocolate malt and licorice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium bourbon, chocolate and roasted coffee bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable complex beer.

Bottled. A dark brown beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes has notes of bourbon, malt, wood, roasted malt, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, roasted malt, alcohol, and bourbon, leading to a dry woody and bourbon finish. Thanks fonefan for sharing.

Near black with a medium beige creamy head. Flavour was sweet with roasted malt, brett and hints of lacto. Flavour had lacto, brett and hard roasted malt. I knew it this style would work so well. Nice one.
