The aroma has notes has notes of bourbon, malt, wood, roasted malt, and fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of fruit, roasted malt, alcohol, and bourbon, leading to a dry woody and bourbon finish. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear brown with a reddish hue and a huge, rough shaving foam style head leaving laces. Distinct Bretty nose blending in with some Bourbon notes. Medium body, some hard roasted malts, licorice and a berry-like tartness. Subtle Bourbon accents and a lacto tartness. A little astringency in the finish. Clearly this was infected and I seriously doubt that it was intended, but it works little wonders. Nice one. 211009 fonefan (11822), VestJylland, Denmark

Clear dark dark red brown color with a large to huge, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, darkroasted, caramel, chocolate, berry, tart - brett, wood, bourbon, light licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet, light acidic and heavy bitter with a long duration, and a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. This works very nice with a imp.stout and some brett IMO ;O)) [20091021] MiP (9099), Sønderborg, Denmark
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 21, 2009 Bottle. Good bretty aroma, fruity, berrylike, quite unexpected. Almost black colour, red shine. Small stable light brown head. Good citric flavour, turning milder, more woody. There seemed to be a hint of vanilla at some point, but now it is gone. There is some roasted malt in there somewhere, it is not just sour. Very nicely balanced. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 8, 2009 Dark brown. Thin head. Rich, soy saucey aroma with light fruitiness - a juicy orange component. Juicy, with blackberry, chocolate and coffee. This is complex and delicious. It has the flavour profile of top of the line espresso - one of those Intelligentia single estates. Wood, and light vanilla late. Alchemic. KimJohansen (7130), Copenhagen V, Denmark

Aroma is moderately sweet, Bourbon, light vinous, chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, Bourbon, medium vinous, light vanilla, chocolate. Smooth medium-full body. A Bourbony Bourbon Bourbonator with trace elements of the underlying beer. That doesn’t mean I dislike it.
