Commercial Description:
Copper amber in color, this medium bodied ale has a great balanced flavor. A fruity spicy hop finish compliments in malty caramel taste. Think of English pale ale dry hopped with German Tettnang hops. This ale was made to sustain you during the long New England winter.

1/28/08 notes: pours amber with little head. Nice aroma of hops, and strong scented malt-sugar. Flavor is toffee, roasts, fruit (apricot?), and bock-like use of creamy malts. The latter especially evident in the sweet mellow finish. A little light on the finish, and nothing too new, but good overall.

Pours an orange foliage esc in coloration, little head. smells very malty with caramel and spices in the nose. Taste well rather unpleasant, but not undrinkable caramel hop and malt a little too over-spiced and watery at the same time.

Dark amber. Very malt forward with light hops. Not too sweet. Well balanced.

Thanks to RCL for this really fresh brew. Big cloudy brown iced tea color and appearance. Majestic pale ale flavor with out overdoing it. Bitter on the medium low side. Fresh pale ale aromas, nothing out of the ordinary or distracting. Some chocolate comes thru on the big gulps. This is just one big fresh beer! Thanks Ray. One of the more refreshing american strong ales I’ve had.

Draft at Willimantic Brewing Company. Pours a dark amber color with a thin white head that dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is of grapes, hops, and malt with hints of spice. Flavor is rather sweet with hints of fruit and hops, but has a malty, caramel finish. Mouthfeel is smooth and soft. Not a bad brew by the Berkshire people.
