Aroma of a nice roasty cup of coffee, nuts, caramel and a touch of chocolate. Flavor of cappucino, coffee with cream and sugar, chocolate notes, some cashews. A nice porter with a great coffee addition. Well done. Alldaydrinker (558), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 9, 2007 After doing a nice vertical tasting, this is my jam, let me tell you. Poured an dark brown colour with a tan head. Aroma of heavy roasted coffee, medicinal, bready, and chocolate. Initial taste a sweet roasted coffee overlayed with smooth bitter sweet chocolate. Roasty finish with a great duration. Medium body. Fabolous stuff. willblake (2187), Belcamp, Maryland, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 4, 2007 20071104 Bomber from Julio’s. Dark brown beer with medium sized, creamy tan head. Aroma is rich with coffee, burnt toast, and light ash. Smooth but somewhat thin body, I suppose that’s in line with porter style but it looks fuller than it feels. Some astringency as it warms conflicts with the medium sweetness that also evolves. Becomes milder in flavor, chocolatey. Toasted grain nuttiness throughout. Fair enough for a change. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2007 My 600th rating of an American-made beer. Bomber from 46er3498 - thanks, Tom! Sticky malty and slightly medicinal coffee stout aroma reminds more of a fruity impy - until the roast starts to seep out. Too sweet, though! A little malted milk and chocolate. Deep red-brown is near-pitch but not quite opaque, features a luscious, creamy tanned head creeping up the sides of the glass. Taste is also a bit too sweet, but with a really nice firm bitterness and roast coffee / grounds attack. Faint complementary ash. Slightly oily and thin. Some tweaking and this could be really good, it’s already enjoyable. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 14, 2007 Bomber. Pours translucent blackish brown with garnet highlights, and a thin but lacy tan head. Aroma of fresh-brewed coffee and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Sweet and creamy taste of chocolate and coffee. The pine shows up in a fairly crisp finish. portermax55 (118), Canterbury, Connecticut, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 11, 2007 Pours a deep, opaque brown/black with a large tan micro-bubble head. The aroma is of coffee, baking cocoa, and nuts with some acidity present. The flavour is full and robust, despite the less than chewy body. Strong roasty flavours of coffee, bittersweet cocoa and chocolate. The finish is long and roasty and the mouthfeel is silky smooth. This was so drinkable and a pleasure to sip. emerica56 (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 11, 2007 This beer pours a dark nut brown color with a thick head with rather large bubbles. It has an intence aroma of burnt coffee beans and toffee. As you drink it there is a nice smooth roasted malt and coffee flavor on the tip of your tounge. The more you drink it there is nice hints of toffee and mild chocolate malt that stays on the back of your palate for quite some time.
