Pours a dark dark brown with a fizzy creamy beige head. WOW! Big coffee and chocolate flavours and aromas. Really impressive, fresh coffee flavours with notes of mocha and caramel. Delicious. Mouth feel is a tad thin for a porter, but this is still a top notch beer, and instant favorite, i’m going to have to bring a few of these back to Canada.

A great representative of this style? Very fresh coffee poured into their porter and then more sweetness. Unpasterized, unfiltered, fresh bottle from this week’s Massachusetts trip. Very dark brown, tasty even though I am not a coffee drinker.

750 ml bottle. Deep brown coloring with reddish hue next to light. Roasted cappuccino, coffee ground aroma - like a Starbucks in a beer bottle (debatable whether that’s a plus or a minus). Nutty. Milky. Smooth, lightly acidic flavoring with Grape Nuts-like report. This beer plays its one note to perfection. Wish it had more body to round out the upfront flavoring.

From a 22 oz. bomber bottle, no freshness date I could find, keep refrigerated and sampled at cellar temperature in an imperial pint glass. Poured an opaque Coca-Cola brown with a frothy pale tan head, slowly dissipates into a thin creamy lacing. A nice aroma of roasted light coffee, cocoa, hints of roasted grains and nuts. Moderate feeling, but active carbonation, and a malty crisp, dry, slick, creamy smooth medium bodied mouthfeel, very nice airy feel in the palate. Pleasant tasting, once again, roasted light coffee, not dark or espresso like, which I appreciate, mildly roasted chocolate malts and grains, nutty yeast that adds to the coffee taste, a very mild earthy hop bitterness towards the end, and a dry milk chocolate and light coffee malty finish, a soft coffee bitterness lingering in the aftertaste. I like coffee, I like porters, so I found this incredibly easy to drink, by itself or as a dessert beer, just first rate, a good example of the style.

pours a dark cola color with a thin tan head that quickly disappears to a ring in the glass. smells of coffee beans and dark chocolate with some malts. taste is very smooth with a creamy texture, the coffee stands out nicely with an espresso bean snap and dark bakers chocolate on the sides of the tongue. the flavors are blended very well not too much of one thing and would be great in a stout. this is one i will come back to again, highly recommended!

Pour opaque with a thin brown head. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee, and hints of chocolate. Lots of chocolate and coffee that end slightly bitter. Almost no alcohol apparent. A little thin for a porter. But overall very nice.

22oz bottle via trade with 46er3498 - Thanks! - Pours black with a big tan head that stays very well and laces in layers. Aromas of big coffee, chocolate, and lots of rasted malts. Flavor is of course dominated by coffee, but there is a good amount of dark bakers chocolate and roasted malt as well. Slight bitterness finishes this off. Smooth and full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and a dry finish. I liked this one lots. Very good brew.

Bottle: Pours black with a tan head. Aroma, strong coffee aroma, with a tan head. Flavor, roasty coffee notes, some chocolate, and some fruits. Finishes with a roasty bitterness. Pretty good.
