It’s got a great smoky coffee nose and an impressive malty coffee palate. It is, I suppose, a bit thin, but I think that with a flavor that’s as bold and upfront as this, the paring down of the texture makes this a very drinkable beer. I’m quite a fan, and I will continue to get these whenever they’re available. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA

Taste-spicy, dry coffee, earthy, odd wasabi/horseradish (but not quite) spice, medium CO2, chili pods, slight apple cider acidity, wood, very good use of coffee, white grape, pond water, light grass. Nicely done, albeit a little on the thin side. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Bitter coffee ground notes dominate here, with some sweet chocolate in there too. Good stuff, but I would’ve liked the body to be a bit heavier. Still, enjoyable. AlKHall (161), West Hartford, Connecticut, USA

If you like coffee this smells great. Dark brown to flat black with a nicely clinging/lacing thumb thick tan head that is mostly lasting. Fore is coffee galore with some mild sweet cream/malt....matching roasted malt and a smooth roasty finish. simple, but tasty and fun to drink. Thanks, Jason.
