emerica56 (498), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 11, 2007 This beer pours a dark nut brown color with a thick head with rather large bubbles. It has an intence aroma of burnt coffee beans and toffee. As you drink it there is a nice smooth roasted malt and coffee flavor on the tip of your tounge. The more you drink it there is nice hints of toffee and mild chocolate malt that stays on the back of your palate for quite some time.
jimhilt (1469), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Nov 1, 2008 Pours a three finger light tan head that fades quickly to a thin layer leaving a good lace. Deep mahogany color. Roasted coffee nose. Light-medium carbonation and medium-heavy bodied. Flavor is sweet roasted coffee, smooth but finishes as burnt coffee, still very drinkable. $3.94 for a 22oz bottle from Ruggeri & Sons Greenfield, MA. rocbyter (692), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Oct 29, 2008 Robust roasted malts with a slight amount of medicine aroma. Very dark amber color with a small tan head. Initial malt bitterness quickly taking on a roasted coffee flavor. Developing a slight amount of sweetness in the finish. Mildly thick palate. lb4lb (1546), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 26, 2008 Bottles courtesy of joepais and rbuckstar. Thanks!!

Pours a light black to dark brown with a big fluffy beige head. Smell is wet cardboard like malt , and coffee. Taste is like a regular old cup of coffee, and dark roasty malt. Some mild bitterness, but still fairly smooth. Not a bad coffee beer, but not my favorite. Enjoyable. skibumphishead (175), USA Oct 24, 2008 22 shared with brie. It was on sale for 2.99 across the street here in Easthampton. The aroma and initial flavor is sweet coffee. The finish has a little chocolate and nuttiness. I’m glad that I can still get this one anytime because it’s great. BBC is is my favorite local brewery. thefle (29), , New Jersey, USA Oct 7, 2008 very good porter. Strong coffee smell and taste. The beer is very smooth. I have nothing but good things to say about this, highly recommended
