In a Duvel glass, it never loses its nitro-like 1cm cover. The body underneath is of a not quite opaque burgundy-blackish color. Sweet in the nose, focusing mostly on light-medium roastiness that resembles coffee. Limited hop presence may be enhancing the slightly earthy feel, but otherwise, I can’t speak of any in your face flavors, I don’t get any chocolate at all, just light dark roastiness, grainy, bready and mostly milk coffee like, the same scenario keeping on in mouth. A pretty milky example that lets itself be drunk easily, the soft carbonation being judicious for that purpose. Simple, but balanced. Paskal (146), La Prairie, Quebec, Canada
