660mL: This somehow ended up being my sole christmas beer. In a Duvel glass, it never loses its nitro-like 1cm cover. The body underneath is of a not quite opaque burgundy-blackish color. Sweet in the nose, focusing mostly on light-medium roastiness that resembles coffee. Limited hop presence may be enhancing the slightly earthy feel, but otherwise, I can’t speak of any in your face flavors, I don’t get any chocolate at all, just light dark roastiness, grainy, bready and mostly milk coffee like, the same scenario keeping on in mouth. A pretty milky example that lets itself be drunk easily, the soft carbonation being judicious for that purpose. Simple, but balanced.

Sample courtesy of Silphium. Pours transparent mahogany-brown with beige film for head. Aroma and flavor very muted in general. Mostly coffee with hints of roasted malt/burnt grain. Body is a little too thin. Just didn’t do it for me.

This Beer has a roasted smell, not to strong, the mouth feel is great, lighter than you think, but full enough to realy enjoy. The taste is fantastic! has a roasted malty sweetness with a very slight bitter end. EXCELENT DRINK! and thats how i see it....
