Sampled at the Ohio Labor Day gathering, provided by me via trade with OldGrowth. Deep red-brown body, very thin light cream head. Coffee, light chocolate, and DMS/butterscotch aroma. My notes for the flavor are somewhat unintelligible, but coffee and roasted malts dominated the palate with slight hints of DMS that thankfully didn’t overwhelm the beer. Medium-bodied, roasty, and fairly simple, yet quaffable and tasty. I can barely read my numbers, but I think I’ve transcribed them reasonably well...

Better taste than nose: smealls like stale coffee on the breath of an old drunk--do I get that from the job or the days at the sorority house?? Anyway pours nice with little head, chocolate coffee taste, better with warming.

Bottle: Courtesy of Silphium. Aroma is a tad weak with some very light roasted coffee and light chocolate. Pours a dark brown with red hilights and a small tan head. Very roasty in the form of coffee and grain. Slight hints of chocolate with a roasty finish.

Black, with a thick tan head. Hooooj Latte aroma - very nice. Very smooth and milky, with nicely mingled coffee and dark chocolate flavors. Clean, slightly sweet finish. Really quaffable, I wish i had more. Thanks, Secret Santa!

Pours black with a nice head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roast, and a little nutty. It goes down very smooth. Flavor is roast, coffee, and chocolate. It’s really easy to drink and enjoy.

Yum! Black. Very sweet, yet mild coffee flavor that was super smooth and rather light. I was expecting a much heavier beer.

22oz bottle served at Judie’s in Amherst, MA. Black clear color, HUGE head, with a malty choco aroma. Amazingly light taste with a sweet flavor that had a super mild bitterness.

22 ouncer. i detect a hint of tang on this beer in both aroma and flavor. It could be prunish or it could be raisony. I’d better have another one just to make sure! Very creamy and very good otherwise. I would buy this beer again.
