22 oz. bottle - thanks to RCl for the trade; dark brown pour with off-white head settling quickly; aromas primarily a bitter/sweet mix of baker’s chocolate and roasted malt; mocha, caramel, nutty flavors; mildly creaming body is above average for a porter and it finishes with a dry sweetness; very solid, but a shade below their coffeehouse porter

Graet porter in a big bottle. Only complaint-maybe too much hopping. Other than that, a big winner. Nicely sweet and chocolaty (?). Maybe even some dark fruits. Yum.

Cask Stillage at the GBBF Earl’s Court, London 08/08/2008 Fruit and hop aromas. Dark coloured and strong in alcohol with a little bitterness and dryness in a crisp roast finish.

Pours a lacing, tan head with a clear, dark brown body. Smells of coffee, cocoa, and malt. Flavor is coffee, cocoa, and roasted malt. Flavor is a bit mellow and body a little thin.

22oz from ppoitras - thanks, man! Nice dark brown pour, with a solid head and medium carbonation. Strong roasted malt notes in the nose, with just a hint of dry cocoa. Pleasant and very fragrant. The mouthfeel is medium-plus, if we’re grading on a curve, and it lingers nicely. While the flavor is roasty initially, it broadens to reveal some subtle fruity nuits that balance things quite well. A very solid porter, highly sessionable.

Bottle. Pretty decent. This was roasty and soft, Some mocha and soft carame notes, but fairly dry and slightly powdery. Good flavour.

Bottle from tweety. Thanks! Pours dark brown with short lived beige head. Smell is chocolate and some roasty malt. Taste is roasty malt, some creamy milkiness and some light, slightly burnt coffee notes. Leans a bit sweet, after a while, though. Could be a touch more dry for my taste. Pretty drinkable. Medium body and normal carbonation. Tasty and a solid porter, but not mind blowing.
