Bottle sampled. Pours very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, mild coffee, nuts, and some light hopiness. Very smooth flavor of chocolate malts, coffee, and light caramel with a clean and roasty finish.

22 oz. bomber. Pours a dark brown, almost black with 1 finger tan head. Moderate lacing on glass. The usual porter/stout aroma. Roasted malts & coffee. Mouthfeel was a bit dry. Flavor was same as nose with some brown sugar and nuts. Good brew

Bomber. Pours lightly hazy dark brown with a thick and fluffy tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, nuts, vanilla. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Lots of great little flavor hints in the taste: hazelnuts, chocolate, candi sugar. Just a dash of coffee in the finish. Something about this beer hits me just right.

THOUGHTS: Gift from a co-worker. I wasn’t expecting much after trying their Hefe, but this was really nice. There was just a little something in the flavor that wasn’t quite right. Not a bad thing just not as good as it could have been if that thing wasn’t there. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a very dark brown with red highlights and a large, rocky, off-white to light tan head that mostly lasted and left excellent lacing. The aroma was of moderate roaste, nutty, caramel, mild coffee and a little chocolate malt. The flavor was sweet with just a little hops in the finish with an average duration. The dominant flavors were coffee, chocolate, caramel and roasted malt. The medium body was slightly syrupy and lightly fizzy with a chalky finish. In fact it was a little chalky throughout.

From a 22 oz bottle this poured a dark brown tending toward back with a tan heasd and good lacing. Nice nose of roasted malts with coffee and chocolate. Very smooth mouthfeel, and flavors of chocolate malts and some hops. Very nice finish. Excellent porter.

Growler. Rich, coffee, toffee, chocolate, malt flavors. Sweet, but finely balanced against a delicate hoppiness.

A well-done competetent porter, very smoothly done without rough or acidic edges. Malted and stout-like. Unpasterized and unfiltered fresh bottle from recent Massachusetts trip. Chocolate malt and balanced roastiness. A must-try porter.

Bottle courtesy of jjpm74. Dark brown pour with a medium tan head. (Not sure why I bypassed the Olfabrikken tonight, but I figured it was time for a lighter porter). Aroma of roasted malts and a bit of coffee. Flavor is roasty with some coffee and chocolate - thinner body, but very smooth. Nice porter.
