Aroma of coffee, chocolate, wood dust, and some burnt fruits as well. Lots of chocolate and coffee, some nuts as well in the taste. Nicely sweetened, the chocolate really stands out. Mouthfeel was almost perfect. An awesome porter, I am glad I picked this one up! TogBean (47), Belchertown, Massachusetts, USA

I had the Shabadoo over the weekend and wasn't impressed, this more than made up for it. It's got a dark dark almost opaque coffee/ruby color to it. A good nutty hoppy aroma, a head like thick cream and it's smooth drinkin. With bitter hints of coffee, a smokey tang and a nice balance of hops and malt. Definetly drinkable on a regular basis. michaeltrego (101), Amherst, New Hampshire, USA

Palate equates to a good session beer, though it has a unexpected kick, which may lead to shorter sessions! Very good example of a medium porter. punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA

This beer is, of course, acquainted with their characteristic sweetness, which takes the edge off the strong malt-alcohol flavor. Appears dark, dark brown with a caramel head. Very smooth texture, similar to other porters. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Too dark for a porter, almost black, slight tan head. Roast aroma is slightly dominate with the chocolate aroma very close again stout like. Flavor is sweet with ever so slight sourness. Thin body which is fine for a porter. If this is porter/stout it is one of my favorites, although it woulcn’t cut it as an IMP Stout. Thanks so much, OldGrowth
