| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Oct 3, 2008 (Bottle). Perfumy weird aroma. Bright yellow-gold color, small head. Flavor is extremely odd and off-putting, as if something went wrong in the formula. mwelsh13 (483), Maryland, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2008 Pours a lightly hazy, golden-yellow color. A small, frothy, off-white head leaves minimal, spotty lacing behind. Aromatics include bready yeast, pale malts, drying wheat, and delicate, floral hops. The flavor is very yeasty, with an ever so slightly sour tinge. Lightly sweet malts are met with equally subtle floral hopping. Balanced and soft, overall. Light in body, with low to moderate carbonation, it drinks quite easy but lacks substance. Decent beer for a hot summer day, but nothing special. RCL (1480), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 25, 2008 Got this bomber in a trade with RCL. Great deal! Nice hazy pale yellow almost vanilla color. A nearly fruity slag aroma. Very nice very clean initial flavor. Hay straw and lots of outback in the field attributes. Cannot detect much initial offensiveness but as the session continues there seems to be an attempt to build some bitter ale character. This however fades at the conclusion of each swallow. Has an interesting evolution of flavor, in waves. Has more personality than I care for in a session brew but it is yet enjoyable and friendly. Easy drinking and repeatable lighter brew. 22 oz is just about the right amount for one serving. Kind and gentle, all the way to the last drop. Certainly more personality than pale lagers yet can do this without being offensive. Nearly wheatbeir at times. beerbill (1956), Laurel, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 12, 2008 22 oz. bottle purchased at the Otis Chicken Farm in Otis, MA for $3.99. Pours an unattractive murky dull gold with a brilliant white soapy head that lasted beyond mid-glass and left partial lacing. Very light indistinct aroma with some bready notes and some very light fruit. Initially, this beer is almost flavorless, but then some moderate bready malt comes through accompanied with some very light sweet fruitiness near the finish. Fairly smooth. An ok beer. punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2008 2007. Bottle. I’m very surprised by the 18% score on this one. One of my favorite BBC brews. Light, hoppy, and sweet would be the way I would describe this one. It appears light gold with not much head. Very smooth and refreshing. Not overly carbonated, like many other Kolsch brews. Highly recommended as a summer beer. Slipstream (761), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Sold in 22 ounce bottles (is that called a bomber?) with an attractive label. The beer is straw colored with a light head and a mild aroma of sweet malt. It is medium bodied and pleasantly fizzy, with a taste of mellow, good quality hops. I am not rating it as high as I thought I would. The freshness may have been off - the label says keep refrigerated, but I had it in a cupboard for a month. Berkshire Brewing Co. will always be something special for me because it reminds me of relaxing on a porch in the Berkshires, talking with friends and looking out at the trees.
