Commercial Description:
Literally meaning yeast wheat. This light bodied ale pours hazy gold. Flavors of bananas and cloves are derived from our traditional German yeast strain. Our "Hefe" finishes with a slight pleasing tartness which makes it a perfect choice for the warm New England summer. Try it with a lemon wedge! 4.5% (from their website)

Pours a cloudy tan orange body with a strong pillowy soft white head. The nose is cloves, spicy aromatics, banana, and a strong orange aroma. The inital taste is smooth, starts with a wheat twang that follows with a nice honey malt balance. You can really taste the citrus upfront, orange peels, banana followed by a spicy hop kick. The feel in the finish is somewhat rough, a little too acidic not enough malt balance in the end, but very good overall.

Bomber courtesy of hellbilly. Banana and clove stand out for aroma along with some spice notes. Hazy gold body with white head. Flavor is good dose of banana and chewy. Spice and tart on the finish leaving fruit aftertaste. Filling brew, thanks Joshua.

Extremely nice hefe. Full wheat aroma and taste. This does not do anything to mask the true flavors from coming through. Unlike most american wheat beers, this one neglects fruit/herb/whatever additions to it. A true hefe made in america and at 2.99 a 22 oz, the price sure is right. Well done, BBC.

Bottle. Pours less than typically cloudy with a yellow gold hue and a normal sized soft white head. Nose is sweet with bananas. Mouthfeel is near creamy (a smidge thin) with continuation of ripe bananas with a hint of sour in the finish. I thought this was really very good and will be getting some more to be enjoying another time.

Pours clear gold into a Weizen. Bright white head recedes to skim surface. Bubblegum and banana aromas. Orange citrus upfront with lasting banana wheat finish.

Draught sampler. Slightly cloudy dirty yellow pour with a tiny thin off white head. Aroma of bananas and yeast. Great taste of yeast, bananas, citrus and cloves. Really enjoyed this one.

Bottle: Pours a mostly transparent golden with a frothy, stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet wheat with a touch of spicy clove and estery German yeast. Body starts fairly full and malted wheaty sweet with nice light banana fruitiness and doughy yeasty complexity. Finishes smooth with a touch of German bittering hops. A nice hefeweizen.

From a 22 oz bottle, this poured a very cloudy butterscotch color with robust white head and very good lacing. Nose of banana, cloves, and citrus. Smooth and clean mouthfeel. Flavor is the same banana, clove, and citrus as the nose with some yeast added. Finish is fruity. Enjoyable.
