Acquired via trade. Rich dark brown color with a thick dark tan head. Thick and sticky lacing. Super sweet malt and molasses aroma, along with some roasted coffee. Full-bodied with semi-sweet chocolate, malt and caramel flavors bordering on cloying - and I like my Imperial Stouts on the sweet side. It does round out pretty quickly though, with coffee and a bit of hops coming through. The finish is long and sweet with dark chocolate and coffee. Pretty enjoyable.

22 oz. bomber courtesy of OldGrowth. hard for me to imagine that less than one year ago, I would have turned up my nose at a beer as dark and flavorful as this. just goes to show you, some change is definitely good!
pours a rich dark brown with a very fast fading head. aroma of milk chocolate, coffee with a hint of vanilla. flavors are more of the milk chocolate. coffee, vanilla with some smoke and licorice making an appearance. mouthfeel is a bit on the thin side but still creamy. a nice blend of flavors. thanks Tom for suggesting this one. I could drink a stout like this 7 days a week. and to think I wouldn’t even touch it one short year ago.

Courtesy of Pailhead. Pours dark brown almost black, with little head. Aroma is full of chocolate and sweet malt. Flavor has alot going on, milk chocolate, dark grains, sweet malt, and very little coffee, (a plus in my book). Very well done.

Deep brown body, large, puffy light tan head. Chocolatey aroma with molasses, hints of dark fruit (plum), and roasted, charred malts. Toasty body with salty, soy-like characteristics (rather like a Baltic Porter), as well as molasses, chocolate, and hints of raisins. Slight tartness on the finish. Medium-bodied, quite complex, and quite delicious. Thanks OldGrowth for the bottle!

Deep brown color with little head poured out of a 22 oz bomber. Strong almost cigarette smell to this beer, interesting and not offensive. Otherwise this is a coffee-centric imperial stout lite. Drinkable and at $3.50 a bomber, not a bad deal, but still, not a great one either. Traditional BBC.

poured a brownish black color with a bone color head. licorice aroma with some sweet malt notes. taste was a one dimentional roasted coffee with minimal alocohol presence. watery for an imperial stout

Bottle: Courtesy of OldGrowth via trade. Chocolate, caramel, and hint of roasted coffee in the aroma. Pours a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head. Lots of chocolate, caramel, and light vanilla. The slightest hint of roasted coffee in the finish. Nice silky mouthfeel. A nice malty Imperial Stout.

22 oz. Bottle: Pours thick and black, with a bigger tan head which is lasting. Aromas were a dark sweetness mixed in with toasted chocolate. Flavor is more sweet than roasty, some dry coffee and finishes watery and thin.
