Alround rating: Roasted malt, burntess, coffee, small berry vinous fruit, notes of candy sugar, hard to find much hop. In saying this all fairly thin for an 8.5% stout. Typical american imp stout, not my scene. JCB (1796), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Deep dank pour, with a bunch of yeasty sediment floating around towards the edge of the glass and minimal carbonation, quickly swallowed by the darkness. Strong dark fruits in the nose, with some malts and chocolate too. Pleasant and slightly unexpected, in a world of roast weaponry. Sweet and lactic, with a nicely smooth texture. Very fruity all the way through the beer, interestingly. Mild roasted malts, but it’s really more like a Baltic porter. Still, that ain’t bad. DarkBeerReign (10), Rhode Island, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | May 30, 2009 This was really a great Stout. Black and hearty, but not too thick. Hints of chocolate and coffee in the taste, there was also a hint of sweetness that doesn’t overwhelm like Sam Adams Imperial Stout, and a very subdued bitterness, which makes this a smoother beer than most Imperial Stouts. gunhaver (1043), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2009 Bottle, courtesy kiefdog. Dark brown with slight reddish highlights. Not much in the way or head or lacing. Cocoa, some licorice in the nose, coffee, decent burn and vanilla. Cocoa and coffee flavors, dry astringent malt, some thick wood. Soft body, not that carbonated, and balanced. kiefdog (1637), Tampa, Florida, USA

This stout reminds me of Victory’s Storm King, in the sense that it’s a true imperial stout, but at the same time, it’s very drinkable. There is no harshness, and you hardly even notice the alcohol. But the flavor is different, with some fruit notes giving it a bit of a different flavor. It’s a little sweeter than I expected, but in a good way. I’ll definitely buy this one again. markwise (1200), 15 Minutes from Kuhnhenn in, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Thanks kiefdog for the share. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is licorice, booze, ripe dark fruit, spice, and roasted malt. Flavor is roasted malt, coffee, licorice, ripe dark fruit, and some vanilla lingering around. Finish is roasty coffee and nice spicy dark fruit. Some chocolate joins in at times with some nice lace. Interesting. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 3, 2009 Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours dark brown with brown edges and thin mocha head. The aroma is mildly malty moving into burnt and coffee notes as well as molasses, caramel and chocolate. The taste is smooth with roasty malts pierced with sweeter molasses and caramel. A layer of chocolate joins in about midway along with a sense of burnt malts taking this to a pleasing finish.
