Commercial Description:
A dark rich creamy ale. This is our version of this classic stout style. With its dense black color and velvety texture, our stout's flavor hints of chocolate liquorice and coffee. This ale is truly a meal in a glass.

Bomber courtesy of far333 – thanks Frank! Pours black with a one finger tan head that leaves nice lacing. The nose is dark chocolate, roasted malt and dark fruit. The taste is milk chocolate, ashy cocoa, caramelized molasses and light coffee. Medium creamy body. Not bad.

From a 1 pt. 6 fl. oz bottle. Pours brown-to-black with cola-like carbonation and about 3/4 inch of foamy tan head. Considerable lacing. Immediate aromas of florals and chocolate. Mouthfeel is creamy and chewy. Flavor is like chocolate, liquorice, and coffee with a good smattering of hops. FInishes slightly dry. A really top notch Impy Stout in my opinion.

Bomber - Poured a very dark black-brown in color with a light tan head that really stuck around. Carbonation level is fairly low though. Aroma is of dark roasted malts and chocolate with a slight sweetness (caramel?). Flavor is a nice mix of dark roasted malts, dark chocolate, hoppy bitterness and a medium malty sweetness... all of which blend very well together. Sweetness lingers into the finish as does the flavor of chocolate. Not the best Imperial Stout I have had, but quite far for the worst... I’d seek this one out again.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown, near black body with a thinning, off-white head. Smell: Aroma smelling of roasted barley and semi-sweet chocolate morsels with notes of coffee beans and aged nuts. Taste: Roasty blend of creamy barley and chocolate with an overall medium sweetness and, lookee here, a garnish of mini-marshmallows. Hints of licorice and coarse ground walnuts. Earthy, roasty bitterness. Drying, bittersweet finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: Could benefit from a slight heft in body. Though it may not be a legendary member of the noble Imperial Stout style, it’s still a quality brew and certainly worth seeking out a bottle.

Bottle from mcox90, thanks. Near black pour with a large, creamy brown head. Aroma is roasty with coffee and light cocoa. A sweeter chocolate comes through in the flavor with more coffee and a well-balanced roastiness. Some dark chocolate and light bittersweetness. I found this to be well rounded and delicious.

Pours a blackhole like black. sucking in light. Nice thin cream/almond colored head. Nice aroma od burnt coffee and a nice smack of chocolate malt and a burnt rum odor. Huge flavor of burnt coffee and hints of cola and chocolate/caramel mixed with a tiny bit of a syrupy rum. A little thin for an imperial stout. Still delicious but I would just call this a Stout. Delicious but just a stout. This beer is very drinkable. The alcohol is virtually un-noticeable. Very good.

Bottle, thanks to my in-laws from VT. Aroma roasted malt and coccoa. Poured a near black light tan cap. Flavor was bitter chocolate and coffee and nice bit of hops too. Palate was smooth and enjoyable. Overall tasty.

Bottle from a trade. Pour is dark brown nearly black. Creamy beige head. Lacing present in the glass. Aroma is roasy malt and chocolate. Has just a faint metallic note, but not much. Flavor is chocolate and bitter. Decent palate. Dry Finish. Pretty nice beer...worth seeking out.
