Poured a clear amber with a thin white layer of head. Not a lot of alcohol or bourbon on the aroma. More of a general malty sweet caramel aroma. The taste is sort of dry, with some sweetness coming in on the finish. Not a lot of bourbon, but a decent scotch underneath. Odeed (1679), Bakersfield, California, USA

Very simply a much lighter version of the AS BA Wee Haevy we rated right before it! Nose of caramel, oak, and light bourbon; hazy medium brown with a small off-white head; Flavor of caramel, vanilla, and a very light banana ester, raisins, and bourbony oak. Does Scotch and bourbon actually mix in some parallel universe? My advice to anyone that has this beer is for the love of God, let it rest for another 6 months. This ain’t no Avery but she ain’t cooked yet either. DenverLogan (421), MileHi, Colorado, USA

Darker amber orange, surprisingly good lacing and retention. Aroma is very bourbony which brings vanilla and oak notes. Caramel comes from the scotch ale. However, I got no smoke. Flavor is the same, medium bodied. Good flavors but where’s the smoke? StoutCat (85), Rockville, Maryland, USA
