The aroma is very pleasant: filled with a hefty dose of bitter malts, but it also has a nice floral quality to it, which gives it a sweetness. The flavor, unfortuneatly, is pretty thin-bodied for an IPA. It doesn’t have much bitterness or any defining character to it. Very mild, but it is refreshing, I suppose. beerbill (1951), Laurel, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 27, 2006 22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy deep gold with a moderate white head and very nice lacing. Pleasant aroma of grapefruit, pine and some floral notes as well. The flavor was definitely grapefruit along with some light caramel sweetness, which I thought balanced this beer out very nicely. This beer was fruity as expected in an IPA without the excessive bitterness, which I am not a big fan of. Well crafted. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 26, 2006 22oz bottle acquired in trade with ppoitras (thanks!). Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a large sized (4.5 finger) off white head. Aromas of pine, grapefruit, lightly floral and light caramel. Stronger floral tastes with caramel and very light citrus. Medium sweet and very lightly bitter. Hoppier aroma vs. tastes - tastes where a little bit of a let down as I expected more of a hop presence. Thin body. sstackho (249), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 26, 2006 22oz bottle purchased from Charles Street Liquors in Boston. The bottle was unrefrigerated, although Berkshire’s website says that all of their products must be refrigerated. Pours a lovely cloudy gold. Not much in the way of head or lacing. Medium aroma of hops. First taste is very pleasing, and fills the mouth with fullness. Well-balanced hoppy and fruity taste. A pleasure to drink.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2006 Sampled on tap. Golden color with a creamy white head. Pine hops, caramel malts and citrus were in the nose. Malty taste for an IPA with a good thirst quenching quality. Good, just nothing special overall. IPA (17), Leominster, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Poured a very hazy copper color with a small off-white head. Hoppy aroma with light pine and earthiness. The malt seems fine but the hops smell like an old bag of hops. Not faded like in an old beer but like dry hopped with old hops. The hops and malt mix through the flavor decently. Bitterness at the finish was almost there. Medium bodied.
