Commercial Description:
A medium bodied India Pale Ale, dry hopped to provide a very pleasing flora, citrus aroma. Well balanced between malty sweetness and hop bitterness. A very thirst quenching IPA.

Pours cloudy gold into a shaker. Nice, full head of microbubbles. Bread and yeast aromas. Flat and stale with long, bitter medicinal finish. Let down.

(Rating #383)

[Cask at GBBF 2005] An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with pirmary notes of caramel, but also light notes of hops. THe flavor is sweet and again with primary notes of caramel - it is so sweet, that the mouthfeel is sticky, and there is not enough hops to balance the sweetness, but it is still OK.

(draft) Cloudy amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, caramel, light herbal. Light-medium body. Very mild for an IPA, even for an APA.

[bomber] Not bad, but not outstanding either. This is kind of a plain IPA with mostly citrus overtones. Nothing special.

Cask, GBBF 2005. Soiled dense hops. Heavy chemical oil. Some toffee oozing from under the weight of the crude hops. Not encouraging. Not inviting.

Cask (gravity dispense), GBBF, August 2005. I don’t usually look at other peoples’ rating before I post mine, but I happened to notice that my notes accorded almost exactly with Duff’s comments. Attractive copper colour. More malt and less hops than expected of a US IPA. This produces a decent balance but a distinct absence of wow factor.
