It pours a thick off white head and from the look of it, it had a cloudy orange yellow color. But the lighting in the bar itself was not that bright. But the nose was very floral and had some nice citrus in the aroma as well. The initial flavor was nice and bitter leaving a lasting impression on your palate. You can really taste the orange peel and citrus hops that were used. Overall it has an enjoyable flavor and a refreshing after taste. PhatB420 (140), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA

This is a low silver/high bronze for me. I would almost pefer a Harpoon IPA over this, but the craft is still impressive. DrDavid (957), Johnson, Vermont, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 25, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is aggressively of oranges. Color, likewise is orange, with a moderate white head. Flavor is mild for an IPA, and less hoppy bitter, but certainly pleasing, and yes, dominated by tangy oranges. Enjoyable and different. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2008 A golden ale with a thin white head. A light caramel malt, with very herbal hops, light Belgian ale notes. In mouth, a crisp malt with pungent hops, light caramel, slight signs of oxidation. Medium bodied. Tasted around Jan 2007. Aroma - Light caramel and brown sugar, some piney and and citrusy hops in the background.
Appearance - Clear amber pour, sturdy and sizable off white head, with durable lace.
Flavor - Solid sweet malty base with a gradually building hoppy bitterness. Not overly assertive, but food balance of flavors.
Palate - Medium body and carbonation, some stickiness, but still softly dry.
Overall - A pretty decent IPA, not aggressively hopped, but more malt influenced. porterhouse (1163), Alna, Maine, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 14, 2008 (22 oz. bottle from Kappy’s) Pours lightly hazy rather light golden amber. Three fingers of lumpy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, flowery and fruity with perhaps a hint of caramel. Mouthfeel is fairly smooth and soft, medium heft but a bit pebbly. Fairly heavy webby rings and sheets of lacing. Flavor is bitter and fruity with a bit of an odd vegetal overtone, esp. initially. Medium bitter bite in the fore that overlays and carries through finish. Underlying malty sweetness with hints of bread and caramel. Kind of an odd one, not exactly bad but has a few flaws that make it kind of rough. sloth (1683), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2008 Medium sized white head, very good retention and a nice sticky lace. Nose is lemony with fuzzy fruit notes. Body is light, nice carbonation level, lightly oily on the palate. Light caramel malt flavors, fairly dry, lightly toasty with thin citrus flavors, hints of peach and a touch earthy. Dry, light and fruity finish. Bite is unexpected and appreciated. Not a big ass IPA but a nice quaffer. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA
