Good head, with a citrus hop aroma. Very smooth, and balanced understated IPA, almost like an English IPA though even less bitter and not dry but fruity. Well done. decaturstevo (2010), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 9, 2007 A slightly hazed orange pour with a light lacing. A light aroma of citrus. A slight bitter finish but a tad flat. a fruitiness that is a bit like an apa. A bit thin but has good carbonation. As I said earlier if this was an apa I would rate it up into the 3.5+ range but it’s not. The hop profile is just not here to make this an ipa. A good drinker yes a good ipa? nope not so. illinismitty (1800), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Faint aroma of white bread, citrus, and grass. Flavor of pale malts and toffee with a moderate grapefruit accent. Mildy sweet. Decent but not memorable. Aroma is of malt, light dough, flowers, grass and citrus notes. Taste is of nice malt and floral hops well blended, bread and citrus. Medium bodied and smooth with ample carbonation. Ending is malty with notes of flowers, light caramel and citrus. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 15, 2007 From a 22 oz. bomber bottle with no bottling/freshness date, sampled at cellar temperature in an imperial pint glass.
Poured a deep, cloudy orangey amber with a foamy off-white head that settled into a thin sudsy lacing, minimal amount of sticking.
A good EIPA nose, blossom-like and fruity, a minty orange, sweet caramelized malts in the background. I found the aroma to be very appealing.
Good light carbonation, a tad airy, and a crisp, dry, velvety smooth medium bodied mouthfeel.
Tastes of toasted grains and caramelized sugary malts, an English fruitiness, flowery, tangerine sweet hops, an earthy, dry leafy bitterness, the hops and malts are in a good balance, the sweetness of the malts add to the sweet hop flavor, and a dry sweet hoppy, leafy, toasted malty finish. A nice and easy drinkability on this EIPA, well done.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2007 22 oz bottle. Cloudy golden beer with a thick off-white head. Earthy/woodsy hops with an orange marmalade and light grapefruit hop aroma over an earthy and light pale malt character. There is a bit of honey sweetness and even a bit of wheaty flavour. The flavour is a bit cheesy and oxidized. There is some definite hoppiness to this brew but it wasn’t it great condition when I sampled it. Okay, but needs more and fresher hops. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2007 Growler from a store, was skeptical at first because the neck was empty but when I opened there was plenty of carbonation hissing. Pours with a frothy medium head into this small hotel scotch-type glass. Leaves a sticky-icky lacing all over the sides of the glass. Aroma is lightly oily tangerine-citrus. Light sweet biscuit and caramel maltiness. It melds nicely with nothing being too strong and the most standout aspect is the tangerine hoppiness, which is really nice. Taste is very nice as well with a well mixed tropical fruitiness and English like biscuit. It really seems like a mix between British IPA and APA. Leaves an effervescent hoppy earthiness. Lightly bittered. A very soft mouthfeel. Overall a very nice IPA in a different direction than most breweries go nowadays. A nice thirst quencher that turns into a good sipper, returnable and recommendable.
