Very malty Oktoberfest. Has a somewhat bitter finish before the glass gets to warm, resulting in a rather unexpected finish. The balance of the beer is a little off. I’m not sure if it’s the water or if pelletized hops were used. It results in an unclean finish. However, this might be the best of the three I have tried so far.

Dark ruby/copper color caramel malty roasted toffee malts are apparent on both smell and taste. The body is surprisingly quenching for such a malted brew. There was a toffee chewy quality to the brew which has a decent smoked quality as well. Not a bad fall beer, but there are definitely better ones.

Pours bright amber into a shaker. Off white head quickly recedes. Crisp with malt front to back.

(22 oz. bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/massachusetts/f target=blank>Kappy’s) Fairly sweet and malty but just not very good...Pours slightly cloudy orange/amber with tall biscuit head. Aroma is vanilla, caramel, toffee and a bit of pumpkin. Mouthfeel full, pretty smooth, a bit prickly. Flavor is caramel and pumpkin, kind of sweet, but just doesn’t have a real good taste.

The color is dark brown. Big head! Nice spicy and malty flavors. Like other octoberfests, but it’s all good and yummy.

Poured an orange color with good head and good lacing. Aroma i would have to agree with eagle was bubblegummy and some caramel. Flavor was very different for this style bubblegum and the caramel and just something different. Wasn’t a fan of this one

Deep reddish color with some good foaming action in there. Sweeter flavor that was nicely married with a tarty spiciness. Nice stuff.

Poured an orange amber color with a nice initial head, good retention, good lacing. Outside of bubblegum, the aroma was quite hard to pick up, caramel and not much else for me. The flavor was sweet bubblegum caramel, strong noble hops (musty, cedar, even spicey). The alcohol was smooth at first but started to kick at warming temperatures. Came off like an ale, a sweet unbalanced altbier almost. The mouthfeel was moderate, a little sweet sticky.
