Very solid lager. BBC makes nice seasonal beers that are not overdone. A drinkable marzen with nice malt punch. An eastcoaster.

Bottle from Cletus. Thanks, John! Pours on the darker side of orange for the style. A bit hazy. More malty than most, and more caramel malt. Fuller body. Pretty good.

Pouring at the Brass City Brew Fest. Pours a clear orange brown with a medium beige head. Light grain and caramel on the nose. Medium bodied with a light sweetness. Smooth with some light yeast, and a dry crisp finish.

Dark orange color, thick and with lots of carbonation. Thick and hazy. Nice half-finger of pure white head. The smell is malty and rich. Roasted malt with a leafy, slightly musty aroma. Not the freshest thing I’ve ever whiffed but nice enough. There is some caramel and butterscotch in the smell. The taste is a heavy malt, sweet but with a bitterness. Caramel and toffee and a mild flowery hop. Butterscotchy but balanced and nice enough. Feels smooth, milky, buttery. Medium body; creamy too. It’s a nice Oktoberfest beer. Really substantial and full-feeling. Still, might be a bit hard to knock a ton of these back in one sitting.

Orange color. Malt flavor and aroma. Ther is only so much to do with this style and Berkshire has done a fine job with it. Lightly caramelized malt.

Sampled from a 22-oz bomber during MN Gathering II and shared by tytoanderso. Pours a semi-hazy orange/amber brew with a thin off-white head that slowly dissipates to a fine film. Aroma of roasted caramel malt, some floral hops, a touch of vanilla and maple syrup. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of mostly caramel malt, very light floral hops with some vanilla and toffee in the background. Finish is semi-sweet with a caramel malt and toffee aftertaste. Pretty much a solid Oktoberfest overall.
