Aroma: Light, peachy. ... Appearance: A watery-looking orange. ... Flavor, consistent, smooth, hint of peaches and sweet malts. ... Palate: A bit light. Malt, and again, peaches. Overall: A respectable little ale.

Bottle from sampler set. Pours a hazy dark amber with a large rocky white head that diminished slowly and produced good lacing. Good well balanced aroma. Medium body. Good well balanced malt and hop flavor with a small pleasent bitter finish.

A nice looking beer that is honey colored with a tint of amber. Just a bit of lacing. First taste was strong dry hops that did not satisfy. After that it settled in somewhat. It definitely finished better. Still it is a run of the mill quaff at best.

If this beer turns the least bit warm it becomes terrible. Paler than I expected, it starts with hops, but fades quickly into maltiness (less good) and metallic flavor (even worse). A no go.

Last offering from the Historic Beers of America sampler from Sam’s Club. Pours golden amber, with little head. Aroma is lightly hoppy. Flavor is mild but respectable amber ale. Nice mild hop presence. One of the better offerings of the sampler. True to style, and I sorta liked it.

Light amber color with a bubbly dissipating off white head. Heavy malt and lightly dry herb hops aromas. Not great, but interesting. Earthy malt and caramel flavors. Mild licorice seems to invade late in the quaff. Has an english, early ale type quality. Linger is strong and bitter.

Bottle. Amber bodied with a medium fluffy white head. Nose is malty and nicely hopped. Some fruit notes and light yeast. Taste is hoppy but smooth. Sweet malts and light fruit notes. Some bitterness lingering throughout. Body is light-medium with a moderate carbonation feel. Finishes with more fruit (white grapes?), light citrus, sweet malts and hops. Not too bad!

Darned good ale... I bought a very disappointing microbrew pack, and this was the shining star. Has an aftertaste a little off, but this is still a great ale!
