Bottle. Slightly sweet barley malt aroima. Amber volor with small head. Light malt flavor with a bitter metallic finish. Poor even for an Amber Ale.

12oz bottle- A light copper body with a nice white head and has an aroma of hops and malt. Taste of malt and more malt with a faint hops flavor on the back end.

Lightly fragrant - mild western hops over malt, like a timid APA. A bad label. Slightly rusty gold, mostly white head. Moderately bitter, a little briny. It had this wierd rolling effect of astringency, bitterness, and brine over a light, unsweet citrus. The bitterness really hangs around on the sides of the tongue. This beer just kinda blew the shift -- I think it would have been better if they’d have used some sweeter or more caramelized malt. Fair. Thanks to PorterPounder for splitting his "toolbox" with me.

Part of the Historical Beers of America "toolbox" 12 pack - picked up at Publix in Tallahassee, Fl - Killearn - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium copper, light wispy white head. Sweet, faintly fruity aroma, hints of gumball machine bubble gum. Flavor is subtly bitter with hints of nectarines and faint spiciness.Reminds me more of a bitter than an Amber Ale. Sticky mouthfeel, decenlty thick. Nothing really jumps out, but no major flaws. Like the Porter in the same "toolbox", fades near the end and heads toward metallica. Session worthy though.

My fourth try from the 12 pack. Pours a nice amber with a quickly diminishing head but good lacing. A bit stingy on the malts on this one but I guess it’s pretty true to a pale ale style but maybe not as hoppy as say a Bass Pale ale. Sort of like a light Pale ale! Nice drinking beer when you want more than one.

YES, the "Historical Beers of America" collection. My father got this wooden tool box thing of beer for xmas last year. "hey, you want half of this?" Are they that bad, Pop? Twist off caps...beer don’t no.2! Pours pretty decent. light amber color. malt palate. fairly balanced. Similar to a BASS ALE.

In the bottle from the ridiculous wooden tool box packaging. Amber in color with an off-white head. This comes from the "Historical Beers of America" collection. It is a bit more balanced than the Barbary Coast. There’s more malt sweetness and body to this one and less indiscriminate use of corn. Has a medium body and is slightly toasted and fruity in flavor.

contract brewed maybe? the bottle says rochester, NY. thin apple-y aroma with some sweet spice - clean flavor, more like an amber lager than an amber ale with a slightly glassy and metallic flavor. not bad, but except for a surprising little hops bite at the end, not much saves this beer.
