Bottled. Clear golden pour, heavy carbonation, small soapy white head. Balanced aroma. Sweet initial taste lingers, it’s a malty floralness, no bitterness. Hard to get used to the mouthfeel. I’d not mind another if it were offered, but by no means a Bier worth seeking.

Nice spicy hops in the aroma, with a nice touch of light sweet malts. Golden colored body with a medium sized white head. Light malty flavor, ends slight hoppy, a bit weak but clean flavor.

This is somewhat crisp. Some bitterness in the end. Soapy head. Clear yellow appearance. A decent beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Comes as: "Bärenpils - Berliner Pilsener". Classical German pilsener with a nice creamy head. Slightly watery body with high bitterness in the finish. 210599

Golden color with a white head. The taste is thin and watery with notes of grassy hops. Kind of metallic and ordinary finish.

Bottled (BB 11/2004)
Pale yellow color, medium creamy head. Aroma is sweet, metallic and harsh hoppy. Flavor is sweetish, a bit hard mouthfeel with some hops thrown in. Not the worst pils but quite hard and plain palate.

(Bottled) Pale yellow color with medium head. Slightly sour, bitter and fruity aroma with hints of honey and butter. Fruity-honeyish, somewhat hoppy flavor with short and mild, bitter finish. Light-bodied palate with reasonably smooth, medium carbonation. Quite refreshing, fruity pilsener, but not very interesting.

Bottled. Light golden. A fresh, almost bitter flavour. Rather thin. An ISL.
