It was close to 100 Gr F, and the beer went down well. And now... slightly but clearly noticeable hoppy aroma. Hopbitter, grassy flavor. medium bodied. Hopbitter aftertaste with a touch of metal. Well made! . Ungstrup (15336), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Label, I don’t know, represents itself as sadly Berlin does not mean ’land of bears’ but it does mean swampland or marshland. So Berlin Child breweries bear Pils stands alone. Quaffable as it may be. This poured a light honey gold, quite bright and sparklingly clear. Head rose off the pour to an inch thick, frothy pad of white that lasted and legged it down the glass. Fresh mowed grass and sour-bread nose, quite clean, little else. In the mouth it is a little fizzy but not harshly, and it is light. Nice dry malty palate, rather straightforward but natural in flavour. In the back it is firmly bitter and the hops start to build a fort around it. Along the sides it becomes tangy ans slightly sharp before a grassy grasp. Finish is clean, borders soapy but when drunk quick enough this does not count. This was simple, flawless material. Like a lovely painting of a vase, bland without character. Quaffable stuff. (50cL, 16/06/07) rw4244 (128), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England

Cool, fresh grass aroma, i think not uncommon for beers of this type. This is a fairly hoppy yet light pilsner, with a slightly bitter hop finish, leaving a hint of spearmint on the tongue. A pleasant refreshing lager, but not a touch on the same brewery’s Berliner Kindl.
