Berliner Kindl Weisse Mit Schuß Schwarze Johannisbeere

Hazy purple with a huge pink head. Very sweet aroma with artificial black currants and bupple gum. Extreme candy sweetnes hit my tongue along with artificial black currants. Somewhat dry finish. Pity to ruin a Berliner Weisse like that. I bet a nice one would have come out using sour natural berries and loads of lacto. Yeah!

bottle, pours a grape kool-aid color, like a watered down cloudy purple, with a thin white head. The aroma is very pungent, tons of black current, and a sugary sour background. Light wheat and sour malt, ends with a very sweet black current flavor that fades into a little bit of sourness, coming from the fruit. Overall too sweet for me.

Bottled. A purple beer with a purple head. The aroma is strong of black currant, while the flavor is very artificial with strong notes of black currant, leading to a dry tart finish.

Pours red with a pink head. Smells of sour wheat, black currants. Tastes like cranberry juice. Where’s the sourness?

Had this one thanks to Oldrtybastrd. This is ok but it pours purple and has a little fruity taste and watery. Not like the other berliner kindls.

Moderate blackcurrant aroma. Huge creamy, purple head. Good lacing. Fully lasting longevity. Cloudy, purple body. Heavy sweet and light bitter flavor, with notes of blackcurrant, and a long finish duration. Light palate and watery texture.

Bottle from a beer stall at a sports event in Berlin. Farily nice berry aroma, but all together a sticky sweetness that overwhelms the weisse underneath. Not a very interesting addition to the Kindl stable.
