Bottle. Clear medium to dark green color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy almond essens (sugar - marzipan). Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft. (200907)

Bottle. Green colour with a white/ greenish head. Aroma is sweet, pistacchio/vanilla ice cream, sugar. Flavour is sweet, sour, sugar, wheat. Strange beer. In one way, discusting. In another way good.

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. It looks almost clear, the green beer-mix, and it’s topped by a white head with a green hue. It smells sweet, with something reminiscent of toilet cleaner or dishwashing water. Sweetish and fruity flavor, but not in a too positive way, I just couldn’t make myself finish it. Sticky, medium mouthfeel, and a sweet and fruity finish. Not too good there either, I had to find another beer immediately. Really a strange experience. (070803)

Clear green coloured ale with neglectable head. Overdone (I understand this is the purpose, but this is farfetched) sugary marzipan, pistacchio/vanilla ice cream desserty flavours. The flavours are not uninteresting really, but sweetened to the point of being undrinkable unless you really have more of that faint lactic acidity upfront.

330 ml bottle. Clear mint green bottle with a suspicious looking small green head. Aroma is even more suspicious, sweet artificial almond/green almond. The flavor is like the aroma and really sweet & sticky. I try to be open-minded about this and am aware that it’s supposed to be a tradition in Berlin for this stuff, but this is difficult to accept as a beer. I don’t like it at all but then again appearance and flavor is nice if it’s supposed to be like this. The famous “This is just not me” statement is bullshit, you can’t drink coffee and say you don’t like coffee so this is bad.

Draught. Green. Green with a thick greenish head. Surprisingly good taste of cinnamon and cherries with a sour finish. Apple pie. Cherry pie. Apple and cherry pie.

Berlin Trip beer No.26. Not as teeth hurtingly sweet as its red brother, but still amazingly sweet. Not one for the purists, but fun to sip in a Berlin cafe.
