Pale slightly hazy yellow/golden colour with small off-white head.
Sweet aroma of hay, straw, malt and some sugar. Flavour is not sweet, far from it. It’s very sour and crisp with some hints of Sauerapfel. glennmastrange (857), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2009 Bottle. Aromas of straw and grain for the malt flowers for the hops, and hint of paper and solvent. Head is average size, fizzy, white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber. Flavor starts heavily acidic and sour, then finishes heavily acidic , sour and moderately bitter. Palate is light, dry and has a fizzy carbonation with a very dry finish. Though not the top of my list for styles, this Berliner Weisse is crisp, clean and refreshing. heavy (840), Split, Croatia

It poured very pale, totally blurred body with smaller head that didn’t stood up too much. Vinegar sour aroma, very simple and not really something pleasant. Flavor was sour, but not too much, watery, slightly lemony and bready. Really thin in body, which is nothing strange for such a low ABV. Astringent mouthfeel. Very short finish reflects the flavor, some lemon is felt. I expected some wheat character, estery notes. It’s really a weird beer style. Doggythedog (1583), Split, Croatia
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 29, 2009 Bottle from Berlin courtesy of and shared with heavy whose friend brought it from Berlin (huge thanks!) A new style for no. 1500 :). Poured a hazy pale ochre, not really appealing, medium sized white head that went away fast. Tart aroma, corky maybe, slightly eggy, you can immediately tell this is going to be sour. Weak taste that’s acidic, but not as extreme as they can go. That’s almost all there is to it.. lemony a bit, even slightly bready underneath all that. Actually drinkable in a way but I’m sure that there are far better examples of the style. mcberko (152), British Columbia, Canada

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 5, 2009 330ml bottle. Pale, hazy yellow in oclour with a tight, long lasting white head. Tart, lemon aroma. Very sharp, bitter apple and preserved lemon flavour with an acidic finish. A bit crude. JK54B (931), Helsinki, Finland

Hazy golden yellow colour. Pale head. Sour taste. Not very sweet. Slight hints of honey in the nose. PartyBear (29), Lincolnshire, England
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 28, 2009 Appearance: cloudy pale yellow, almost looked like lemon juice. Poured with a small head, which all but disappeared after the first few sips. Smell: smelt similar to champagne, with a clear lemon aroma. Distinctive sour notes. Taste: incredibly sharp, to the point of making my eyes water a bit! Very obvious sourness to the flavour, which is cutting from the start. There is also a subtle floral taste to it. Mouthfeel: The sharp sourness makes the mouth water; it felt almost like my salivary gland were going to fail. Drinkability: The drinkability is low in my opinion, this is due to the intense sourness of the beer, which makes it hard to drink. Not my type of beer but does have some positives, most notability the subtle floral taste, which unfortunately, to a certain extent is masked.
