Foggy pale yellow/white body. Aroma of milky acidity, wheat and citrus. Taste is dry fruity and light sour with some mild lambic-like barnyard tones. Notes of bubble-gum and candy towards the end. Superlight body. Crisp and lively mouthfeel. Dry, fruity and mineralic finish. Utterly refreshing and moreish. reakt (937), Greater London, England
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2007 Bottle @ St. Albans BF. Mes and I noticed this odd stubby German bottle the first night at the fest and made note to try it at some point. The next day as I set off to get it I overheard the others talking about some odd sour beer and this turned out to be it. Opaque pale yellow with a thin white head. Nose like Juicyfruit gum with a bit of yeast, wheat and malt. Incredibly sour puckering lemon almost lambic flavour with again wheat, yeast, malt and hop. Very dry finish. A curiosity indeed. larsga (2980), Oslo, Norway
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 15, 2007 Huge white slightly coarse head. Pale hazy opaque body. Light thin acidic mealy aroma with lemony barnyard notes. Thin acidic lemony taste with mealy, soft metallic notes. Thin-bodied. Sour lemony aftertaste lingers. Not really very good. It lacks the spicy complexity of gose, and is overall a bit boring, for all that it may be unique in the world. (0.3l draft at Take Off bar, Tegel airport.) NosirIwont (1186), Aalborg Vestby, Denmark
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Oct 10, 2007 Bottle. 2 weeks past ’best before’. Pours a light, hazy yellow with a fast-disappearing white head. Sour citrusy aroma with fruity notes. Malt as well. Feels a bit cloying. The flavour is sour, with notes of wheat and malt. Horse blanket. A bit cloying as well. Finish is thin, sour and dry. Lingering, light bitter notes. Interesting, but not my kind of beer. 10-10-07. MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England

Unusual stubby German bottle at St. Albans Beer Festival. Uninspiring, slightly hazy pale yellow. Fairly dull wheat and malt in the nose. Similar flavour but with a lovely sour note and heavy lemon. Unusual and drinkable but will never be a big scorer. Certainly worth a try. JFURYCAT (792), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 21, 2007 It has spritzy wheat flavors with a champagne-like carbonation and dry aftertaste. The sourness and sweetness seem to conflict here. $4 bottle from River St. Ale House, Pittston, PA. SoLan (1427), Orlando, Florida, USA

Aroma of wheat, tartness, pungent past ripe fruit. Same flavors with a good amount of acidity. Light/medium body, balanced carbonation. Easy to drink, good summertime brew.
