Aroma is yeasty, citric, a bit rancid but nice. Flavor is acid, citric with a vinegar touch at the end. Mouthfeel is light, effervescent and salty, mineral. Refreshing. A supremely refreshing summer beer. Hazmatt (363), Virginia, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Mar 29, 2007 Bottle. Pale yellow/straw color, average sized white head, some lacing. Grape, wine-like aroma. Sour, extremely tart up front, almost puckering. A hint of wheat and then distinct barley flavor in the finish that saves the beer from being virtually undrinkable. Thin bodied, not that good. Maria (6312), Thisted, Denmark
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Mar 26, 2007 Thank you very much Jeppe (Bierköning) from Ølbutikken for this, the last of the styles, that I needed to have them all. It’s light straw and the aroma is rather weak, but I get notes of wheat. The flavour is very watery and the most dominant note is acidity, that makes it resemble a watery wit with notes of wheat and citrus. I had it pure, and that isn’t a pleasure worth mentioning ;) 1963 surlysober (41), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 19, 2007 FIRST TRIAL: This is only the second Berliner Weisse I’ve had, but I enjoyed it very much (I enjoyed the first too). But, I am a big fan of sour, so I might be slightly upwardly biased toward this beer. The beer poured a clear yellow with very little head. There wasn’t a whole lot in the aroma, but what little there was faintly fruity with just a touch of malt sweetness. The flavor though was entirely different. There was a great light fruitiness, just a little wheat, and lots of sour. The best part was that no matter how long you held the beer in your mouth, the sour flavor seemed to stick around. The finish leaves a sourness in the bottom of your jaw that makes you salivate. Very glad that I got to try this beer and I’ll continue to look for other Berliner Weisse brews. porterhouse (1162), Alna, Maine, USA

As advertised, this is sour, citrusy and wheaty - a pretty nice beer if you’re into that...Pours clear slightly pinkish orange with a small white head. Quite effervescent. Nose is yeasty, bready, wheaty and citrusy. Mouthfeel medium-light and fairly smooth. Flavor is pretty much like the nose - quite sour and citrusy tart with ample wheatiness, bread and yeast supporting it. Imagine really fresh this might be pretty nice. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 5, 2007 Aroma of some yeast, grass and citrus. Hazy, pale yellow coloured with a nice, perfect, medium white head. Taste is almost exactly the same as the water I drink when I go walking in the mountains; Water+ citron+honey. This brew has some yeast and grassy hops in it. And it’s way more dry. Actually a nice fresh brew.
