Wheat and sour notes dominate the aroma, with a subtle backdrop of lemon oil and grapefruit, but no semblance of hops or malt. Flavor is bracing, bold. Notes of sour green apples. Palate is nice though watery at times. Admirable complexity for such a forthright and low ABV sour beer. I do prefer it with Woodruff syrup, but this is a very quenching and interesting taste sensation. Just not quaffable; harsh acidity, stinging at times, the culprit here. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Pour is a thin sparkly yellow with very little head. Foam that was there faded quickly. Fizzy like soda pop. Faint sour tang wheat in the aroma. Nice sour tangy flavor, not up to lambic or saison sourness standards, but still very nice.
More flavor than one might expect from such a light bodied beer. No hops whatsoever in taste or aroma.

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Bottle 33cl bought in Berlin. Poured a cloudy pale orange with a blossoming white head. Aroma of sour citrus fruit, wheat and slight banana. A fizzy beer with a tangy sour fruit flavour, particular hints of citrus. A little bitter and astringent in the finish. Watery thin palate, though with a slight slickness often accompanying wheats. I found this rather too sour to drink enjoyably, but the flavour is undoubtedly interesting and, for such a low alcohol content, very complex. In the past I have had this with syrup in Berlin, which undoubtedly complinents and evens out the sourness. Poperinge (359), Cowtown, Alberta, Canada

This with our a doubt is the best and most complex beer I have had that is less than 3%. Apologizes to the Ptit Orval. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Dec 8, 2006 A very unique wheat beer for sure. Sourness to it, rather than the traditional clean wheat flavor you’d expect from something labeled weisse. Pretty crystal clear unless you get the yeast transfered in the glass. And even still then very little cloudyness. Head is white and frothy, but doesn’t last. Sourness in the scent. Traditionally is drunk with a bit of fruit flavored syrup, which would help to cut the sourness in the straight beer. auderale (572), Fairchild AFB, Washington, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Poured a cloudy golden color with little to no head. A tangy hoppy aroma with a lemony, citrusy taste to it, a lot of carbonation. Different. SHIG (2050), Aviano, Italy
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/20 | Dec 7, 2006 Dusty Bottle: Poured a golden amber with foamy white head. Sour soapy hop aroma. Flavor was a strong sour citrus, that faded to a grainy malt. I’m sure this was old and not perserved well, but if not then this was a one time sample!
