There were no hop notes detectable. The body was medium light with lively carbonation and a dry, watery texture (if that makes any sense). The flavor starts with a pronounced sour taste. It almost made me pucker. The finish is quite dry and medium in length. Through the finish, the sourness softens as it ages on the palate. bbheiney (1), The Woodlands, Texas, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 16, 2006 This is a summer beer. In Germany it is served with a shot glass of either Raspberry syrup (which you mix into the beer) or a green syrup ( I assume it’s mint. I’ve never been able to find out). It’s refreshing on a really hot day. If drunk staight out of the bottle, it tastes horribly sour. Best beer I’ve ever tasted second only to Hacker Pschor Oktoberfest Nekronos (2264), Xalapa, Mexico

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 8, 2006 Hazy straw pour with fine white head. A clean aroma, in the way that soap smells clean. Coriander, mint. Robust lemonade sourness, just a touch of toasted wheat in the finish. This is interesting stuff. My first Berliner weisse, and I like it. I want to try another one! This would be absolutely perfect on a hot sticky day. (A lawnmower beer if you will.) after4ever (2828), Brier, Washington, USA

Pours bright gold, sparkling carb, frothy bright-white head that scampers away as soon as the glass starts to move (if not sooner). Super sour nose and palate, nothing finish. Not a heck of a lot going on here, and I doubt I’ll return to the fold. SSSteve (2104), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

Odd sour in the nose along with some soft spices. Flavor is more of this sour, which I can’t place, and a little acidity. Beer is light overall, but pretty intriguing style. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 21, 2006 Bottle from Secret Danish Santa. Hazy light yellow with a film of a white head. Sour, dusty nose, wheat is there, but odd. Mildly sour flavor, can’t really taste the wheat, acidic. Slightly dry finish, with a lively, light mouthfeel.
