Bottle (330ml). Slightly hazy pale gold, large foamy white head, some sediment swirls in the bottom of the bottle. Very interesting aroma, like a sour lemon candy with wheat, hay and lactic notes. Taste is incredibly lemony, there’s sugary malt backing it, but it is tart - like tart lemonade, not lambic-tartness - I like it! Watery mouthfeel, very lively mouthfeel, quick finish, a little acidic. I was expecting it to be awful - like ross, it’s incredibly hot today and this is a real refresher.

Bottle from Bello Vino in Michigan. Yellow body with a small white head. I was ready for a smack in the face with this one but was rudely snubbed with a virtually no-show of flavour. Odd grainy aroma, with hints of something out of place – the best I can come up with is the white Ferrerro chocolates, aroma does not fit with either my expectations or the reality of the flavour. Light sourness up front in the flavour, with something weird and unexpected again, some kind of sweet confectionary notes. Thin palate. Mouth puckering this is not. Dull.

Bottle from Richard (Irishboy) Thanks! My first of the style. Wasnt really sure what to expect other than I knew it was supposed to have a sour flavor to it. Pours out yellow like beer with a white head. Smell is citrus and lemons with a hint of sourness. Taste is sour, wheaty, and refreshing. I could drink about 18 of these in a row. Really refreshing, and it hit the spot on a day where its 90 degrees here. Thanks!

One small .33L bottle from BOTW. Poured a small white head that quickly disapated. Aroma of lemon/citrus. Flavor was slightly sour with lemons. I did not have to add a lemon to this. It was different than all other German Weissbiers I have tried. Not great, but ok.

Bottle White, fizzy head which diminishes totally. Hazy, yellow body. Sourish aroma of citrus (lemon, orange peels). Moderatelv acidic, lightly bitter initial flavour. Moderately acidic, moderately bitter finish. Looks like a mixture between a nice gueuze and a good Belgian White. But it’s not so convincing, due to a little bit weakiness. Sure the nice characteristics are not at all blown away by this last remark.

11.1oz bottle courtesy of IrishBoy, no date. Pours a clear light golden with a mod, quickly dissipating white, fizzy head. Aroma is quite sour (cherries and granny smith apples) with a little bit of wheat and yeast. Taste is again very sour with some dust and cardboard with a dry finish. Not complex at all. Light bodied, high carbonation. Meh, at least I have another elusive style sampled.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw color with a white head that dimishes quickly. Aroma is mildly malty with some light sour notes. Flavor is dominated by sour, which isn’t a bad thing....but there really isn’t much else there. There isn’t any maltiness or graininess from the wheat....it’s almost like a sour pilsner. Body is light. Overall, I was pretty excited about this beer, as it’s hard to find a berliner weise in this area. Unfortunately, I’ve had homebrew versions much much better. Not a good example of the style.

Bottle. Light clear pale color with an average frothy white head that mostly diminished with fair lacing. Moderate wheat sour fruit aroma. Light to medium body. Medium sour cider bitter flavor with a medium bitter finish of moderate duration. Bartender asked if I wanted raspberry syrup in beer to change flavor. Interesting.
