330ml bottle. Pours a hazy very pale blonde with a fluffy white head that goes away fast. Aroma is a fruity sourness, with some sharp lemon, honey and a touch of spice. To taste mostly a sourness, lemon shards and a rounded malt/wheat biscuit character in the finish. Like a slightly less sour and slightly less cheesy version of the Schultheiss, I enjoyed it.

Style 60/70 Bottle .33L Nose is acidic and grainywith maybe just a small citrus note. Slighty hazy pale gold with lots of bubbles and a small white head. Flavor is sour with a hint of lemon.

From the little 330 ml bottle.

Pours a light tea-yellow tan with a fluffy but short-lived nearly white head. The aroma is deeply sour, vinegar and some raw egg, sort of funky-skunky. The flavor is also quite strongly sour (though not the the league of a really wicked lambic) with lots of lemon and a bit of cherry, wheat notes, light-malty, and a nasty off-sour twist to the finish. Palate is very thin though this is masked by the sourness; the carbonate is moderate and enjoyable. <!-- p --> Nonetheless, the beer is indeed refreshing, and I think I could come to like it.

Pours a hazy yellowish golden color with almost no head retention. Very sour aroma as well as flavor. Fruity sourness with hints of apples and maybe fresh pears. Highly gassey and acidic. Clean finish. Refreshing, however, something’s missing.

being the only berliner weisse i’ve ever had, i’m not sure what i expected. interesting sickly-sweet-caramelkornish-apple-fruitish nose that is at once alluring and revolting, go figure...foamy white, quickly dissapating head, sour-tart flavor (in original form) and a bitl lemony-malty. an overly odd but oddly enjoyable beer, though adding either the himbeer (raspberry) or waldmeister (woodruff) syrups improves the beverage in my opinion. a nice summertime cooler, though dissapointingly low in abv and quite expensive in my region.

Bottled version. Score reflects the beer without syrup. Pours a mostly clear yellowy color with a thick white head that goes away over time. Notable apple in the aroma like a pale lager with just a faint hint of citrus. Surprisingly tasty flavor with a light apple like start and a sudden lemony sour finish. Fizzy on the tongue and thirst quenching as well. Definitely an easy to enjoy beer. Notes on syruped version: This syrup came with the six pack when I purchased it and everything is written in German on both the six pack and the syrup bottle. I had no idea how much of the stuff to add so I just sorta guessed. Turned the beer a greenish color. Sweetened the beer up significantly but still allowed for a sour finish. Syrup sort of thickened up the mouthfeel as well. I believe the syrup is some sort of cherry flavor. I understand that purists take it without syrup but I can see myself enjoying this stuff either way. I’d love to try more examples of this style.

Pale orangish-yellow color. Sour, wheaty aroma. Very sour, almost citrus flavor. Goes down fairly well (seems a bit carbonated, but not so much). Seems like a beer some would like, but it just doesn’t appeal much to me.
