Unfortunately, the last are this style and lambics, all of sound disgusting. I was dreading this beer but couldn’t pass up an opportunity to try one. I warned my drinking posse about the weirdness of the style, and when I was pouring out the bottle everyone confused somebody’s fart for the smell of the beer. It was pale gold in color. Smelled kind of like an old Corona. On first sip I was shocked to find it was not as nasty sour as i was expecting. It reminded me most of an acidic saison but without all the bret. I poured the raspberry syrup shot into it and didn’t notice much difference at first. The deeper into the glass I got the sweeter and more balanced this beer got and it was actually somewhat good. I’d still like to try another but in my opinion it doesn’t taste all that great and it’s so low in alcohol that’s not enjoyable or will mess you up. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA

Apple or grape-like fruity aromas hint of hard cider, but not exactly. Perhaps better described as floral? Basically clear with slight haze, pale yellow color, small lingering head. Tastes like it smells. Sharp sourness, with light fruitiness, sourness lingers well into the finish, and as the sourness fades it gives way to a bready, wheat flavor. No hop character whatsoever. Medium-light body. High carbonation and acidity seems to increase perception of mouthfeel. All in all, I’ve never had a beer quite like this before, and might never have the chance again. I enjoyed it. It was definitely an experience to remember. I don’t think I’d buy a case of the stuff, but it might be nice to sample on occasion. I mixed the last few gulps with a few drops of raspberry liqueur… now that was tasty! Still very sour, but the little sugar helped balance out some of the acidity. That’s the way to drink it. It’s good on its own, but better with some flavor to balance out the sourness. Darkover (1314), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 6, 2006 Hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of lemon and malt. Flavor is sour and lemony, but the sourness is much less than a lambic. ElJefe (553), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 20, 2006 I guess I’m in the minority, but I actually liked this quite a bit. Hazy pale yellow with a pure white head. Aroma of lemon zest and green apple. Flavor is moderately tart and citrusy, with a combination of tart fruits (apple, raspberry, and lemon). Rating is based on drinking it straight - have not tried it with syrup yet. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 14, 2006 Without syrup: Bitter taste, very much like a Flemish sour. Clean ending, slightly sour aroma.
With syrup: Very much like a flavored lambic. Apple was chosen for the syrup, resulted in a very light body. Extremely plesent. Slinger (91), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Light color with little head, but very strong hints of a bitter citrus flavor. Very good Summer beer. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA
