Mar 11, 2006 Hazy light golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of honey and some sweet malt. Slightly sour flavor with hints of wheat.

Mar 9, 2006 Updated: Jun 8, 2006[Re-rate in blind testing against Schultheiss’ Weisse.] Bottle. Hazy golden pour, no head. Smells sour and yeasty. Really, quite sour, a little vegetal. Not as up-front or direct as the Schultheiss. Mouthfeel is clingy without being oily. Somehow seems more “hollow” to me, whereas the Schultheiss cuts right through and stabs you. I even dare say it, watered down (and it does have the lower abv). I loved this the previous two times I had it (rated a 3.9), but after having its competitor, didn’t want to drink another drop.

Mar 9, 2006 Pours mostly clear yellow with pillowy, dissipating head. Aroma is of cheap perfume and lemon. Flavor is like a geuze - without the complexity. Still the tartness and smoothness grows on you a little - not enough to overcome the smell.

Mar 7, 2006 Aroma is lemony tart and sour,light straw colored,little head, sour puckery slightly sweet taste,lactic acidity tartness, lemony dry finish. I can see times in the summer when this would hit the spot. Real thirst quencher

Mar 6, 2006 Unfortunately for this beer, I wasn’t expecting the ridiculous sour taste and thought I got a bad beer. From what little I tasted it was very lemony, almost vinegary, and very dry. Next time I try this beer, I’ll taste it with an open mind knowing what to expect. As for now, be warned it’s not a typical weisse.

Mar 3, 2006 Bottled. Golden hazy colour, mediumsized head. Aroma sweet fruits, hops and wheat. Very sweet, but extremely dry lemon in flavour. Extreme dryness. Like a very good cider, more than a beer. Aftertaste of fruit and wheat.

Feb 25, 2006 Bottled. Hazy light yellow in colour, minor white head. there is an aroma of fruits The flavour has a sour scent / taste of fruits but mostly yeast. it has a sour after taste. GREAT BEER!
