| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Bottled. Looks very "Wit Bier" in apperance. Somewhat malty aroma that surprised me a bit as it wasn’t exactly what I was expecting. Taste is a bit subdued but has notes of wheat, apples and sourness (but NOT sour apples). Aftertaste is sharp and lingering. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 31, 2005 Without syrup.
Clear medium yellow body with an average sized white head.
Funky sour aroma, soapy.
Lightly sweet flavor is overpowered by the acidic sourness that lingers on the back of the tongue. Very thin palate, almost no body whatsoever.
With raspberry Himbeer syrup.
The syrup brought some balance to this and added complexity, sweetness and some fullness that it needed. The rating is for the beer without the syrup, however. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 30, 2005 Bottle from Beers of Europe. How can this possibly score under 3??? Very pale yellow with dissipating head. Aroma of green apple, lemon, wheat, with a milky note (presumably the lactate). Spritzy in the mouth with a splendid lactic sourness. Tart, puckering finish, again with that hint of milk. Delicious and refreshing. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 29, 2005 11.1 oz bottle as a bonus in a trade with FlacoAlto. Thanks Sebastian! - Pours cloudy golden with not much head at all. Aroma is of hops, some lemon and a bit of vinegar. Flavor is much the same. Sour like lemonaid, apples, tangerine. Very tart... Palate is light and highly carbonated. Almost a champagne tickle on the tongue and the back of the throat.. A very unique beer. My first of this style. Daredevil (77), Bern, Switzerland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2005 Since Napoleon invaded Berlin some 200years ago Berliner Weisse seems to have the nick "Berlin Champagne" (not sure the reference was made to the same beer) ... Berliner Kindl is the bigger of the two big Berlin breweries, their Weisse has a hoppy smell and tastes somewhat like tangerines kept in a saucer full of fresh lemon juice and apple vinegar .... mix it with woodruff of rasberry syrup and you have the perfect drink for a summer afternoon ... | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 23, 2005 My first Berliner weisse. Cloudy honey-colden pour with a carbonated clinger. Very carbonated lemon and vinegar with a sour bite. Certainly a tarty treat. PorterPounder (3143), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2005 Green’s Beverage - Atlanta, Ga. - .33 litre bottle. First try of of this style. Light, golden appearance, with a thin white head and excellent bubble action. Very aromatic with hints of vinegar, mown grass and lemon. Flavor has a pleasant sourness to it that sits very well. Finally realize what I think horseblanket is, as I can taste it in this. Very akin to a gueze. Not a style I will seek out - but glad I tried it.
