I had it straight up, unmixed. Tart but not as hellish as I envisioned with nice fruit tastes, grapefruit and citrus. A new experience. JamesD (198), Centreville, Virginia, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 3, 2009 Pours with a wheaty, citrusy aroma. Not super sour, which I found surprising. It is pale straw, kind of like a darker white wine, with a lot of bubbles. The flavor is very witbier like and not very sour. If you’re a fan of sour beers like me, it’d be best to pass on this one. mjs (1517), Helsinki, Finland

Quite quickly disappearing and medium sized fizzy white head. Sour milk and cowhouse in aroma. Dry, stinging palate with quite a lot of carbonation. Sourness, sour milk, bitterness and fruitiness in taste. Sour and fruity aftertaste. WeeHeavySD (3016), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

I had this unmixed because, hell I didn’t need more sugar for my teeth. Pours gold with a bright white ring. Nose is sweet and light. Taste is sour and tart but not huge in any big way. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 16, 2008 bottle. Hazy yellow colour, mid-sized fluffy and quickly disappearing head. Sour nose. Wheaty and sour, pleasantly fruity (llemon, grapefruit). A lovely and very characteristic brew - quite excentric. FatPhil (3481), Espoo, Finland

Pale hazy yellow, brief head. Sweet light malty aroma, some light sweet fruits too - peach. Sharp sour taste, makes me think of blackcurrant. Some tingly hops, and sharp carbonation. Finish is loads of light malt and wheat. Very refreshing, but not as sour as some other berliner weisses that I have had. Still very crisp though.
