Flavor is of sour grape, sour apple, and bitter lemon zest. It is light and refreshing, if it was slightly less sour it would be very drinkable. jeffc666 (1891), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 26, 2004 Ever so slighlty hazy yellow body topped by a large fomay white head that collapses very quickly. The aroma is very distinct, sour wheat, no real hop aroma or sweetness as in a typical weiss (this is my 1st time trying this style). Flavor is well uhh different, sour wheat malt very light body that produces a very dry almost puckering finish. Overall complexity is very low but still this is a unique experience with a rare style. A little hop aroma. Pours a pale yellow with a large bubbled head that is gone in no time. No lacing. Smell is absolutely no indication of what to expect in the taste at all. Taste is all lemon. Very, very sour. I almost feel like I drinking watered down (but not very much), carbonated lemon juice. This hardly tastes like a beer. Maybe the best way to describe this beer would be to say that I imagine if I took a glass of tonic water and "marinated" a large number of yellow tear jerker gumballs over night, and then drained the liquid and drank it, it would probably taste like this beer. bu11zeye (5470), Frisco, Texas, USA

Looks like a very pale lager. Aroma is grainy and herbal with some bacterial funk. Flavor is husky and wheaty with some bacterial funkiness and moderate-high acidic tartness, less sour than most lambics, remarkable dryness, and low bitterness. Light bodied, very refreshing and interesting. This beer has grown on me over time. May be the perfect palate cleanser for a marathon beer tasting. I’ve tasted it with woodruff syrup (not good) and raspberry syrup (okay), but prefer it neat.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2004 Light golden colour with nice head. Nice lactic acidity, thin bodied and a good thirst quencher. TheBeerGod (3154), Newport News, Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 25, 2004 Pours a slightly hazed gold with a tall foamy white head. Nose is hoppy and tart. Faint malt notes. The taste is sour and lemony. Slightly acidic but there is lighter malt. The finish is almost sweet with light hops. This would be nice to try with syrup. Decent beer, but better with the syrup, I'm sure.
