(301007) JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Jun 10, 2008 Medium but very nicely stable cream-coloured head over hazy chestnut beer. Discreet, but nice nose with earthy, dark leaves and pastry notes - some Maillard? Dry, very earthy & leafy taste. Virtually no restsugars, pretty impressive. Bit of ironoxide in the flavour as well - the water? or more Maiilard? Creamy mouthfeel - not overly well-bodied, but certainly not empty. Very good Dunkel - cheerfully abstaining from the dreaded sweetness that plagues many’s the German sample. Thanks to the people providing - they were right about this one!
