Commercial Description:
Labeled as "Amber Lager" in USA

Bernard’s Amber Lager is a unique half-dark lager produced by an original brewing recipe of the Barnard’s Family Brewery. The light caramel-type malt endows this beer with a balanced bitter taste, fine toffee aroma, and full body.

Dark golden with a perfect head. Sweet fruity and a little malty aroma. Tastes a little sweet, some pepper in the finish. Very nice.

Light brown hue, average head. Sweet malty aroma - nice and refreshing. Good mouthfeel, smooth, refined dunkel. Good balance preserved. One of better dunkels around. Kraft beer.

Cherrywood colour. Malty flavour - toffee. Very smooth. Some pale malt mixed in there. A hint of milk chocolate complements this nicely.

Draught at Svejk, Stockholm 2003. This is my kind of beer! Chestnut brown with a rich, off-white head. A lot of malty bread and toffe in both aroma and flavour. Really smooth palate.

Tap in Pilsen. Quite nice ’melt in your mouth’ flavour as motelpogo would say. Nice soft texture, some soft caramel and toasty malt, doughy malt. Mediumbitter hops in the finish. Couldn’t find too much wrong with it, very drinkable.
