SilkTork (3860), Rochester, Kent, England May 15, 2008 500ml bottle from Prague Tesco. There’s no way of telling the difference between a pasteurised filtered lager shot with forced carbonation and an unpasteurised filtered lager shot with forced carbonation. This is a pale lager with a noticeable smudge of bitterness. As it’s from the Czech Republic it gets classed as a Bohemian Pilsener. It’s slightly dirty and reasonably pleasant.
iammarc (175), Inverness, Scotland Jul 28, 2008 Yeah, not bad. Quite good in fact, but with regards to Czech Pilseners a little off the mark. bager (2027), Copenhagen N, Denmark Jul 28, 2008 On tap. Clear and pale golden coloured with a medium sized head. Quite typical pilsner - a bit boring. Notes of metal, bread, grain and hay. tarjei (1131), Bryne, Norway Jul 2, 2008 Draugth 1/2 pint at Pivo Cafe Bar, York. Golden color, nice but disappering white head. Aroma is malty with some fruit. Flavor is malty, with some fruit, sweetness and bitterness. Ok pilsener. heemer77 (3634), Savannah, Missouri, USA Jun 17, 2008 From a .5 liter bottle. The body was dark gold, nearly copper with only a faint white head. The aroma was sweet with pears and fresh cut wood. The taste had notes sharp hay and some old cheese rind. Lightly carbonated, this is easy to drink. The taste is strangely and really tangy. I am not sure if that is what is intended. ekstedt (1785), Göteborg, Sweden Jun 13, 2008 Draught at Gothenburg Beer Festival 2008. Clear golden, medium white head. Fruity, bready with some butterscotch. Soft carbonation. Dry with a nice moderate bitterness.
