Ungstrup (11713), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 16, 2004 An orange beer with no head. The aroma is sour with notes of soap and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and malt. Papsoe (11076), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 18, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) It’s really hard to pinpoint the differences between Czech pilsener-styles. This is golden with a huge head, some impurities and heavily carbonated. Malty with a hoppy finish. Unusual. omhper (10950), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 2, 2005 Bottled. Deep golden, firm head. Sweetish with clean mouthfeel. The lovely oily butterscotch character that used to be the trademark of the Bernard brewery before Moortgat takeover is completely gone. Some citric hops tries in vain to cover the void behind it, but with a too clean malt profile Bernard’s beer has nowadays more character of standard international lagers than the top of the line Czech pilseners it used to be. yespr (7788), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 7, 2008 Updated: Nov 27, 200850 cL bottle, as Bernard Celebration, 5.0%.
