andrewboss (127), USA Sep 19, 2007 Bottle.... one of the better Pilsners I’ve ever tried. Very unique taste. Not as bitter as I like my pilsner, though/ Radek Kliber (3403), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jan 15, 2005 Ok, Bernard Sváteční Ležák is not Pilsener more like high end, unfiltered, unpasteurized premium lager. Unique in make.
Aroma: Soft local way prepared malts with only subtle hop character behind. The mouthfeel texture is most interesting due to its delicacy and live yeast .Amber gold, well carbonated, pleasing crown. Flavours/feel: Great silky smooth front, perfect finish a blending. Brewmaster did great job designing this one. Subtle and complex. Great long lasting malt/hop finish. Superb lager!
henrikb (1161), Aarhus, Denmark Aug 19, 2007 Draft - Bernard Kvasnicovy Svetlý Ležák 12° - VERY strange to alias these 2 beers - Beautiful slightly hazy golden body with a medium sized bubbled lasting head; Quite big very mineral, metallic nose, good but a bit 1-dimensional; Big bubbled carbonation on very soft body, bitter sweet, very balanced and fresh; Long very fresh finish, malty fresh and bitter, it has a very young very pleasant touch, it might be the yeast, it might be something else, but it is great, the young beer shows itself in the very late finish with its special sugary malty aroma. Super elegant very, very drinkable, if not for the nose this would be near perfect armando629 (512), Budapest, Hungary May 22, 2008 Golden color with a nice white head. Sweet buttery aroma of yeast, hop and malt. Fine flavour of a pilsner with the taste of bottom fermentation(but too much sweetness), the pilsner malt and a good balanced hop. Fine dry aftertaste Oakes (7032), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Aug 3, 2004 Cloudy tan colour. Estery, bubblegummy, hoppy aroma. Sweet palate. Creamy and smooth. Touch of grass, diacetyl and a good dose of minerals. Delicious with no hint of alcohol.
